This image that I call "Lady in the Lake" took 3rd place in the TOLEDO MUSEUM OF ART show which ran from May 21 thru June 20, 2010. Many people don't know it but this art museum is one of the 10 best in the country.

Here are the judge's comments on "Lady in the Lake" . . .

"I would like to award Third Place in the exhibition to Rich Kaplan for his photograph "Lady in the Lake." Kaplan uses an Arthurian literary reference to transform what could be a banal nude study into something of symbolic wonder with its perfectly composed and minimal photographic lines; the light figure on the dark background echoing the beige lines of the lakeshore."
